From Kate Moss and Jamie Hince’s pastoral extravaganza to Mark Ronson and Josephine de la Baume’s Provencal feast, it waѕ a trulу stellar season. And the final fling – thе Indian summer, yоu might say, of fоur months of rockstar nuptials – waѕ Sir Paul McCartney аnd Nancy Shevall’s registry office wedding, held іn London’s Marylebone this weekend.

Stella McCartney cleаrly hasn’t had much time tо rest bеtwеen hеr Paris show аnd Sir Paul’s wedding, aѕ thе dutiful daughter designed nоt onlу thе bridal dress but аlѕо thе Groom’s suit, the bridesmaids’ dresses аnd hеr own monochromatic dress. Nancy Shevall looked radiant іn а demure knee-length dress іn off-white silk crepe, wіth covered buttons dоwn thе front аnd оn thе cuffs, whilе the Beatle hіmself wore а razor sharp inky-hued suit with а suitably mod skinny tie.

As a novice in the sporting world, Cardiff City Stadium is the only stadium I have ever been inside. All I know is that its very clean, the staff are really helpful, there is a tea and coffee booth and there are clarks pies on sale! The seats are all good, the pitch is maintained to a high standard, far superior to some of the ones that are on the television and its well lit in the evening. Really great place to watch some rugby!

Reviews Of Caerphilly Castle Weddings

I went to a wedding at Caerphilly Castle on Saturday and it was truly amazing. Such a lovely venue for a wedding, the Great Hall was fantastic, it’s a large room with a bar at the back but meant that everyone was in the same place rather than spread out.

The staff working were fantastic and made the day truly special, I think it was outside catering but the food was gorgeous. The hall had been decked out with tiny lit up christmas trees with ivy around the windows and mulled wine as we all arrived.

I’d definitely recommend this to people looking for an unusual wedding venue.

Castell Coch (the Drawing Room)

We got married and we had our wedding reception at the Novotel in Cardiff. The whole day was organised brilliantly. The staff was very efficient and extremely helpfull.
We stayed in the Hotel for 2nights and the room was clean, bright and spacious. The bed is very comfortable and its worth it to pay a bit of extra money for executive room. We had 15 rooms booked for our friends and family and everyone enjoyed their stay very much. The swimming pool is lovely, the bar is open late and the food is delicious.
I like to personally thank all the staff that were involved in our wedding and made our day so special.

Used the Greendown Inn Ely as a base for the recent Wales v Ireland Rugby match. We stayed in their small camp site for 2 nights (11th & 12th March). Ok needs a taxi trip in the City, £10-£12 not bad. Bus passes by from time to time, but opted for the taxi.
Great pub, nice food, staff very helpful. Ok place could do with some TLC, but difficult to balance running a business & spending money on tarting up the place in these difficult times. The odd 2 or 3 nighter as a base camp for Cardiff, just fine. But a 2 to 3 weeks main summer holiday, I’d need to think about that one!
Don’t agree with the review below who complained about the steak. Ours were just perfect. We thought the food menu was spot on, with a nice selection of drinks. Combined with a couple of warm log burners at either side of this wonderful 15th century building with low wooded beams ceilings!
Our thanks go out o the staff and owners of the Greendown Inn for making our second stay at the camp site enjoyable. Will use it again if we need to visit Cardiff.

Attended a wedding at this facility and stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are amazingly comfortable and you don’t hear much of anything going on outside your door even when you have adjoining room with family. Fantastic wedding venue. Food was great in their restaurant and at the wedding. I only wish hotels like this charged less for soda in machines on each floor. Other than that I was immensely comfortable. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. My brother needed a crib for his child and not only did they bring one up but they assembled it right away in less than 3 minutes. Beds in each room were very comfortable and that’s very important!

Stayed here with my husband and 2 friends, overnight, when going to Cardiff to the Motorpoint Arena. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful – when I found that the room hairdryer was not working they apologised for not having a spare and the Manager went to Tesco and bought one, which I thought was excellent customer service. The leisure facilities are very good, we spent a lovely afternoon relaxing in and by the pool and enjoying the sauna and steam room.
